Digital Signage Media Player under $150

Setting up a Digital Signage Media Player for under $150.

Most Digital Signage Media Players sell for prices ranging from $300+ to almost $1,000; and are nothing more than Windows PCs in a Mini PC enclosure. It is easy to acquire and setup a Media Player under $150, following the below listed steps.

Get a used Netbook
With the advent of tablets and smart phones, Netbooks have gone out of fashion and easy to find on sites like www.craigslist.com (or you might have one that you are not using).

When identifying a Netbook, look for the following minimum requirements:
- Processor: 1.6 GHz or 1.2 GHz Dual core
- RAM: Minimum 1 Gb. (more is better)
- Operating System: Minimum Windows Home (some Netbooks come with Windows Starter and may have some drivers missing).

Typically you can expect to find a decent Netbook for under $150 (we have seen many at $120 to $130).
