What is template based content?
Creating content for display is really simple using our template library. We have hundreds of templates that can be customized by you online by uploading your own logo, pictures, entering text descriptions and contact information. Your content is literally created in real-time and available for you to view and approve, immediately. If you are not happy with what you see, simply go ahead and make changes as you desire.

What is custom content?
Some businesses have ready content in the form of pictures or video files that they would prefer to display as is. This content can be uploaded through our web site and displayed.

What is ‘Horizontal Orientation’?
‘Horizontal Orientation’ is when you set your Digital Signage Display TV screen in the horizontal position, similar to way when you watch regular TV.

What is ‘Vertical Orientation’?
‘Vertical Orientation’ is when you rotate the position of your Digital Signage Display TV screen by 90 degrees clockwise and view it standing on its side.

Can I have more than 1 content / advertisement on a screen?
Yes, you can create as many instances of content and advertisement as you desire for running on your screen. This may be a combination of both template based and custom content in any blend you prefer.

Can I run my content on multiple screens?
Yes, you can run the content on a single or multiple screens. In case you intend running the same content on multiple screens, you have to create it just once. Any edits to the content will automatically be updated on all screens.

How do I know if the content is displayed?
If you not in position to actually view the content as you might be at a remote location you can view the content display details online under the
Content Setup >> Content Display Details

Does the software update automatically?
The doPublicity Digital Signage software updates itself every time the Plug N Play Player is switched on. In addition the Player also updates itself once every night (the player needs to be on, even if the display is off).

When the player and screen are turned on, what can I expect to see?
On starting the player (you must turn on the screen first), you will see the Player go through the following steps:
bullet Start its Windows XP Embedded operation system – Estimated time: 2 minute
bullet Automatically start doPublicity Digital Signage software and display the splash screen with doPublicity logo and version of software – Display time: 2-3 seconds
bullet The application will start checking for the latest updates and will show the Players desktop (black desktop with a few icons) momentarily - Estimated time: 1 - 10 minutes, depending on the type of internet connection and size of update
bullet The application will display status of the various updates it is downloading - Estimated time: 1 - 10 minutes, depending on the type of internet connection and size of update
bullet The application will close the update window and commence its content display mode. Normally it normally takes between 30 to 45 seconds at this stage, before you start seeing content on the screen.
Notes:
  1. The display takes a little longer to start when it is receiving fresh content data.
  2. In case of routine display, when the content is not changed frequently, the Player will start to display with 3-4 minutes of starting up
  3. The above times are based on broadband internet speeds and may vary depending on the connection trough put and speed.
